Jesus Christ is God the Son

The old testament describes,explains,and illustrates for all who read it, and especially those who read it and are earnestly seeking the truth, God in all his majesty and Glory.The Lord God begins to reveal Himself in Genesis1:1 and continues through the first five books of the old testament, known as the torah or the law,the psalms,proverbs, and the major and minor prophets.The Lord God assembled and completed the 39 authorized books,yet there were apocryphal works as well,that did not get included in our modern canon.Those 39 or so books were used by the ancient believers in the Lord God (some are happy with pronouncing the tetragrammaton YHWH as Jehovah or Yahwah) namely the Isrealites to practice their religion and exercise the law as prescribed by Moses who simply followed the Lord God's instructions as laid out in the torah.
      Those Isrealites as they read the old testament were fascinated in a coming Messiah,those jews who were keenly aware of this coming redeemer were expecting Him to come in the future.Some prophets of God such as Isaiah and Daniel described the messiah enough so that those expectant jews were ever mindful of His eminent arrival.From the time that Malachi was written and the arrival of Jesus Christ was approximately 400 or so years.Given that this country I live in America has been so for a little over 230 years we can visualize the length of time the Isrealites had to wait.
        The jews upon reading the law and the prophets,and to read them in the language which was predominately spoken by folks at the time,greek,were using a translation of the law and the prophets from hebrew to greek known as the septuagint,named after seventy scholars commissioned to do the work.The people in palestine in those intervening years between Malachi and the coming of Jesus Christ were eagerly expecting the messiah,they expected a conquering messiah,not a suffering and sacrificial one,nevertheless they expected a messiah to come.
       Jesus Christ is that Messiah,the Son of God,God manifested in the flesh,(1Tim.3:16 kjv), the old testament God came to earth ( as He did various times in the O.T. such as: ex.24:9-12 ) and He proved that He was God in the flesh by performing miracles of all kinds,healing,curing broken hearts and spirits,exorcising demons,and raising of the dead,to name a few of the miracles He performed.As a matter of fact, we do not know what all Jesus did, as John writes at the end of his gospel, I, for one would love to be aware of everything that Jesus did, it would be remarkable,except as John said all the libraries in the world could not hold the exploits of Jesus Christ if they could be written down.
       So for the multiple millions(billions if counting from acts of the apostles onward to current times) of true christians around the world,Jesus Christ is the o.t. God manifested in the flesh, and His aforementioned miracles that He performed to prove that He was God,of them, none was more incredible,more earth shattering,heart changing,people bringing,church starting and every adjective one can think of,than the resurrection of Jesus Christ,God the Son,on that first easter morning 2000 years ago when the women first encountered the empty tomb. So many lives were changed as described in the n.t. and especially in acts by the resurrection of Jesus Christ that it has been and continues to be the one seminal event in the history of the entire world.
       Today there are many people that do not believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God or that do not believe in God at all.It runs the gamet from full blown atheists,then agnostics,then those folks that do not think about God at all.Then around the world, of course, there are so many folks that believe so many different things,called religions,that do not involve faith in Jesus Christ, as a matter of fact,Christian organizations have named a region of the world that remains mostly unevangelized,the 20/40 window where over 98% of the people that have never heard of Christ live.That region draws a lot of attention of the Christian missionary community.The atheists,agnostics,and general folks that do not believe in God live primarily in the western world,the 20/40 window extends from african sahara thru the middle east into and thru the sub Indian continent,asia and finally the indonesian areas,encompasing nearly 4 billion people.
      I write all this to say that atheist or 20/40 window the most important tenet of the Christian faith,the resurrection of Jesus Christ,is the part of the gospel that will or should convince them to come to Christ.The salvation of the unbelieving world is the goal of the Holy Spirit of God.The Holy Spirit convicts and brings people to Jesus Christ,and has been very busy doing so currently and since acts of the apostles.God the Father has been bringing folks,all kinds of folks,to his Son Jesus Christ and He has been doing so apart from His church,His body,through His Holy Spirit.
      There have been many well known atheists throughout history that have converted to Christianity, most of those atheists were convinced after they earnestly and honestly set out to disprove Christianity, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.These atheists were convinced that the resurrection was a fact of history,so convinced were these atheists by the resurrection of Jesus Christ that their lives were changed.Most of them began writing books detailing their conversion and the reason for it.Some well known atheists were:Gilbert West esq.(1750's) wrote a book entitled ''Observations on the history and evidences of the resurrection of Jesus Christ''(1747),Lord George Lyttleton, set out to debunk Christianity and st.Paul,within a year he wrote a book called ''the conversion of St.Paul (1929)...Another atheist named Frank Morison,was vehemently opposed to Christianity and set out to show the 'real' Jesus Christ was superstition,his rationalistic higher criticism convinced him that Christ's history rested on 'insecure foundations'.He was dogmatically opposed to the miraculous  elements of the gospels.He actually started writing his book and during his research,changed gears, and became convinced of the resurrection.His book was titled '' Who moved the Stone''.(1930). Giovanni Papina was the Christopher Hitchens of his day,foremost Italian intellect and vocal critic and enemy of Christ and self appointed debunker of religion,shocked his friends when he converted to Christ and wrote ''Life of Christ'' in 1921.
        C.S. Lewis,famous author, who wrote many books,as a matter of fact,his''chronicles of Narnia,'' continue to inspire audiences for nearly a hundred years and currently as well. Sir William Ramsay,famous atheist of his day(1880's) has written books yet to be refuted,Dr. John Scott,greek professor converted after his 70th birthday,Malcolm Muggeridge,Gary Habermas,Josh McDowell,John Warwick Montgomery,and the list continues,all of these atheists were converted and were convinced that the resurrection of Christ was an absolute fact of history.
        In addition to these athiests that were converted to Christ during the past centuries and currently,by the resurrection of Christ, there are brilliant legal minds throughout history from the 1700's to the present that observed that there is an overwhelming case for the resurrection of Jesus Christ as a matter of strict evidence, a fact beyond dispute. Thomas Sherlock's ''trial of the witness of the resurrection of Jesus Christ" which places the resurrection  in a legally argued forum and would give anyone so reading it the assurity in favor of the testimony establishing the fact of Christ's resurrection.
       The resurrection can be determined by the very reasoning used in law to determine questions of fact.This procedure is also true for determining or establishing  the historical reliability and accuracy of the new testament documents.
       Lord Darling, was a chief justice in Britian that asserted overwhelming evidence that the resurrection is true.
I now list, not just regular attorneys, but acknowleded brilliant legal minds throughout history that have settled the question of the resurrection of Christ by using legal evidence,as a matter of finding fact beyond a shadow of a doubt. Greenleaf; Lord Caldecote...The conclusion for any reasonable person,believer or unbeliever, is to take to heart this assertion of the resurrection of Christ,and investigate for themselves,for the believer,confirmation of their faith,for the unbeliever a beginning of a possible relationship previously unknown.Take Sherlocks book and challenge the assertion, truth shall always win, it will set a person free,and ultimately prevail against any stronghold.
     God has protected his Word down through the centuries against many enemies, thus reminding believers of His admonition in Mark 13:31''Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away."
     It is vitally important for all true Christians to be able to defend their faith and at the least be prepared to share as Peter said,(1peter3:15) with anyone who asks the reason for the hope that you have in Christ.Therefore obviously that includes defending,protecting the orthodoxy of scriptural biblical doctrines that the bible (not man) teaches.With the emergence of the psuedo-christian cults in the last 150 years or so, such as: mormonism,the Arians like the Jehovahs Witnesses and the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania and New York (WTBTS),and others such as the christian scientists,the scientologists,and many others, give all true Christians pause as these cults seek to recruit the unawares,the uneducated,those folks on the fringes of their religious affiliation,not strongly attached by their diligent faith to Christ by their particular church...in other words, for example the WTBTS recruit more from the roman catholic church due to the weakness of each catholic parishner to be grounded in the bible,the Word of God. So the individual catholic when surreptitiously attacked (for there is no other way to put it) by the two Jehovah witnesses knocking on their door,with an opening of a general truth relating to world conditions,then followed by a false conclusion based on their faulty interpretation of scripture, the victim of these 'wolves in sheeps clothing' are carried off by two things generally 1. the general shame they feel when the witness exposes their lack of biblical knowledge and 2. the witnesses take advantage of the deep need that all humans have of worshipping God in 'spirit and in truth'. What happens for many victims of the cult of the watchtower is the witnesses offer these victims the very thing they want the most;a deep relationship with God and with other true zealous believers...the unfortunate thing is that the WTBTS replaces the very SAVIOURHOOD OF JESUS CHRIST with a VERY FALSE saviourhood inside this society of jehovah's witnesses.These victims of the watchtower cult are taught that only those inside the society of the WTBTS will
survive Jehovah Gods' anger on the 'day of the Lord' known as ARMAGEDDON.These victims are taught,  FEAR, that should they leave the organization they will be destroyed by God,along with all the other people not Jehovah's witnesses. Especially all members of 'christiandom''worlwide.The society of the WTBTS take advantage of the limited biblical knowledge of SALVATION THROUGH JESUS CHRIST, which such verses or true Christian gospel is ignored and avoided by the WTBTS,so as to confuse and trap the individual witness in servitude to their organization.
       One of the saddest observations that a true Christian can witness is seeing or hearing a Jehovah witness denying the simplicity of the gospel of God(the BELIEF in ones' heart of the birth,ministry,death,burial,and resurrection of Jesus Christ) by grace through faith,a gift, not of works,lest anyone boast (ephesians2:8,9,10).
They not only deny this salvation by grace,by a complete perversion of this gospel of Gods grace,by salvation through works in their organization only,the watchtower itself becomes the saviour...they are taught the opposite of every orthodox biblical doctrine, plus a few new ones.They deny that Jesus is God over and against all the
myriad of scriptures declaring so.They deny the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ over and against the clear scriptural proof of that truth. As I say, they are in the fear and denial business of religion, affirming nothing, denying everything, except the DEATH of Jesus...A simple cursory study of their religion reveals in their more than 130 year-old history that countless thousands of sacrificial deaths related to their unscriptural twisting of a few bible verses on the issue of blood,thereby denying their members life-saving blood transfusions,that continues to this day.A prior edict in the 30's and 40's denied their members life-saving vaccinations until they said that God changed his mind;the same thing occurred with respect to organ transplants,not allowed and actually compared to cannibalism, until God changed his mind again.The transfusion of blood issue, it is obviously too late for Jehovah to change his mind, due to economic issues,for they would be sued by victimized families,which should sue anyway !!...a very tragic situation. Jim Jones builds a cult of personality around himself resulting in the death by suicide and murder of a thousand, and the world notices immediately.The WTBTS continues to directly/indirecty
be involved in ten times that number and more and the world notices little, why? because the deaths occur one at a time over time,an insidious march of death continuing for years.
